Following are the Title IV Disclosures for the Title IV IT Programs at our campus in Columbus, Ohio. Data reflect pre-MyComputerCareer ownership and pre-date program upgrades. 

Information Technology Systems Administrator (ITSA)

The IT Systems Administrator program provides students with the conceptual knowledge and practical experiences needed to create, maintain, troubleshoot and expand today’s complex networking systems.

The program is made up of six courses. Training begins with the fundamentals; working hands on to support workstations and servers. As students become more familiar with computer hardware and networking components, they are taught to install and configure Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems. Students are also given the opportunity to create both wired and wireless networks and to configure, manage and troubleshoot critical network services.

Later courses provide students with the opportunity to create and configure Active Directory domains, implement security strategies, and configure server hardware, and monitor domain performance to deliver optimal business level networking services.

Upon completion of each course, graduates are qualified to take a computerized certification exam with CompTIA and Microsoft. Upon passing the appropriate certification exam, our graduates will earn the CompTIA A+ and Network+ certification along with the Microsoft MCTS and the MCITP Server Administrator certification.

TechSkills has a flexible learning model which allows students to attend 12 to 24 hours per week and progress on an individual basis.

CompTIA requires candidates to pass three exams in order to receive the A+ and Network+ certifications.  The exam fee is $585. Microsoft requires candidates to pass three exams in order to receive MCITP Systems Administrator certification. The exam fee is $450. The total exam fee is $1035.00, which is an additional fee paid directly to CompTIA and/or Microsoft.

Information Technology Systems Engineer (ITSE)

The IT Systems Engineer program provides students with the extensive training and practical experience needed to build, support, troubleshoot and expand Microsoft network environment.

The program includes six courses. Training begins with Microsoft Windows 7; teaching students to manage basic operating system functionality, monitoring and performance optimization tools, and security features.

Later courses provide students with the opportunity to create and configure Active Directory domains, implement security strategies, manage web authentication, and monitor domain performance to deliver optimal business level networking services. Students will also have extensive familiarity and practice working with TCP/IP. Upon completion of the program, the candidate will capable of deploying, building, designing, optimizing, operating technologies, and maintaining and troubleshooting a Windows network for a particular job role. Students will be able to make the design and technology decisions necessary to implement successful technology projects.

Upon completion of each course, graduates are qualified to take a computerized certification exam with Microsoft. Upon passing the appropriate certification exam, our graduates will earn the Microsoft MCTS and the MCITP Server Engineer certification.

PC Technician (PC-T)

The PC Technician Program is designed for students who want to be able to perform basic hardware installation, troubleshooting and maintenance, networking and topology support, security configuration and analysis. In addition, students will gain a thorough understanding of important networking concepts using the Open Systems Interconnect (OSI) seven layer model; and students will become familiar with commonly used networking terminology and technologies including routing and switching concepts, securing, maintaining and troubleshooting a Windows operating system.
